Introduction

Compact, easy-to-use AC semiconductor motor controller. Using this controller, three-phase motors with rated load currents up to 12 A can achieve soft start and/or soft stop. Start and stop times as well as initial torque can be independently adjusted via built-in potentiometers. This motor controller is used for soft start/soft stop of three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors, reducing stress or wear on gears and belt/chain drives while ensuring smooth machine operation. Soft start and/or soft stop is achieved by controlling the motor voltage. During operation, the semiconductor is bypassed by an internal electromechanical relay. Soft start and soft stop times are adjustable from 0.5 seconds to approximately 7 seconds. A green LED indicates power. Two yellow LEDs indicate ramp-up/ramp-down and run modes. Initial torque is adjustable from 0 to 85% of rated torque. This motor controller does not provide overload protection, which must therefore be installed separately. The controller switches two lines, with the third line continuously connected to the load.
