Introduction

The Automotive PLED Unidirectional Series (PLEDxUx - A) open LED protector provides a switched electronic shunt path when an individual LED develops an open-circuit fault. This ensures that even if a single LED in the string fails open, the remaining LEDs in the string will continue to operate. It also provides reverse battery or reverse supply polarity protection. This series is specifically designed for automotive applications such as automotive headlights, tail lights, LED indicator protection, aircraft runway lighting, and other applications requiring high reliability. Compatible with 1W, 2W, and 3W LEDs with a nominal 3V forward characteristic.
