Introduction

The PLEDxUSxA open-mode LED protector provides an electronic switch shunt path when an open-circuit fault occurs in an individual LED within an LED string. This ensures that if a single LED fails, the remaining LEDs in the string continue to operate. The component is designed to improve reliability in indoor LED lighting applications such as signage lighting. This product series is compatible with 1W, 2W, and 3W LEDs with a nominal 3V forward characteristic, and features an SMB surface-mount package. The DO-214AA (SMB) low-profile package is ideal for high-density PCB applications.
