Introduction

The Automotive PLED Unidirectional Series (PLEDxUx-A) open-circuit LED protectors provide a switched electronic shunt path for individual LEDs that fail open-circuit. This ensures that even if a single LED in the string fails open-circuit, the remaining LEDs in the string will continue to operate. It also provides reverse battery or reverse power supply polarity protection. This series is specifically designed for automotive applications such as automotive headlights, taillights, LED indicator protection, aircraft runway lighting, and other applications requiring high reliability. Compatible with 1W, 2W, and 3W LEDs with a nominal 3V forward characteristic.
