Introduction

The PLED series open-circuit LED protector provides a switched electronic bypass when an individual LED in a string fails open-circuit. This ensures the remaining LEDs in the string continue to operate even when a single LED fails.

The PLED series is designed to improve reliability in outdoor LED lighting applications such as street lighting, outdoor signage, aircraft runway lighting, roadside warning lights, and more. Compatible with 1W, 2W, and 3W LEDs with 3V nominal forward characteristics, it is available in two SMT package options: DO-214 and QFN. The QFN's low-profile CSP is ideal for high-density PCB applications.
