Introduction

CA-IS3214 is a family of single-channel gate drivers based on capacitive isolation, designed to drive power devices such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC MOSFETs. The driver features excellent dynamic performance and high reliability, with peak source/sink current capability of up to 10A/10A.

CA-IS3214 achieves galvanic isolation between the control side and drive side through SiO capacitive isolation technology, supporting an isolation working voltage of 1.5kV and surge immunity of 12.8kVPK. The isolation barrier lifetime exceeds 40 years at rated working voltage, with excellent device-to-device consistency and CMTI of >150kV/μs.

CA-IS3214 features UVLO protection on both the control and drive sides, and is optimized for SiC and IGBT switching behavior with enhanced reliability. In addition, CA-IS3214MxG integrates a 5A peak current active Miller clamp; CA-IS3214SxG and CA-IS3214TSCG feature split output configuration with separate OUTH and OUTL outputs.

The CA-IS3214 inputs IN+/IN– support CMOS or TTL logic options, where CA-IS3214TSCG uses TTL logic and all other part numbers use CMOS logic.

CA-IS3214 devices are available in an 8-pin wide-body SOIC package. All devices are rated for an operating junction temperature range of –40°C to +150°C.
