Introduction

Broadcom's ACPL-P347/W347 contains an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. This optocoupler is ideal for driving SiC/GaN MOSFETs and IGBTs used in power conversion applications. The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the drive voltage required for gate-controlled devices. The voltage and high peak output current delivered by this optocoupler make it well suited for directly driving SiC/GaN MOSFETs and IGBTs rated up to 1200V/50A.
