Introduction

CMT8602X is an isolated dual-channel gate driver with 4A peak source current and 6A peak sink current capability. The device is designed to drive power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC MOSFETs at switching frequencies up to 5MHz, offering excellent propagation delay and pulse width distortion performance. The input side is isolated from the two output drivers through a 5700 Vrms enhanced isolation barrier, with a minimum common-mode transient immunity of 150 kV/μs. The two secondary-side drivers are internally function-isolated, supporting operating voltages up to 1500V. Each driver can be configured as two low-side drivers, two high-side drivers, or a half-bridge driver with programmable dead time. Driving the enable pin high simultaneously shuts down both outputs, while leaving it open or tied to ground allows normal device operation. As a fail-safe mechanism, a primary-side logic fault forces both outputs low.
