Introduction

The ACPL-K30T is designed to drive high-voltage MOSFETs. It consists of an AlGaAs infrared LED input stage optically coupled to an output detection circuit. The detection circuit comprises a high-speed photodiode array and a turn-off circuit. The photodriver turns on (contact closes) when the minimum input current through the input LED is 5mA. The relay driver turns off (contact opens) when the input voltage is 0.8V or lower. The ACPL-K30T features a stretched SO-8 package outline, designed for compatibility with standard SMT processes. Avago's R²Coupler isolation products provide enhanced insulation and reliability, enabling safe signal isolation critical in automotive and high-temperature industrial applications.
