Introduction
CA-IS3213 is a family of single-channel gate drivers based on capacitive isolation, suitable for driving SiC, IGBT, and MOSFET devices. The devices offer excellent dynamic performance and high reliability, with peak source/sink current capability of up to ±15A. The devices achieve galvanic isolation between the control side and drive side via SiO₂ capacitive isolation technology, supporting an isolation working voltage of 1.5kV_RMS, surge immunity of 12.8kV_PK, an isolation barrier lifetime exceeding 40 years at rated working voltage, excellent device-to-device consistency, and CMTI of >150V/ns. The devices feature UVLO on both the control and drive sides, optimized for SiC and IGBT switching behavior with enhanced reliability. In addition, CA-IS3213MCG integrates a 4A peak current active Miller clamp; CA-IS3213VCG provides an external COM pin for convenient bipolar isolated drive-side power supply; CA-IS3213SCG adopts a split output configuration with separate OUTH and OUTL outputs. The entire family is available in SOIC8-WB wide-body packages with creepage and clearance distances greater than 8mm.
