Introduction

CA-IS376x is a high-performance eight-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power consumption. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, the CA-IS376x provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions. All device versions feature Schmitt-trigger inputs for high noise immunity.

The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. CA-IS3760 has six channels all in the same direction; CA-IS3761 has five forward and one reverse channel; CA-IS3762 has four forward and two reverse channels; CA-IS3763 has three forward and three reverse channels. All devices offer a failsafe mode option. If the input-side power supply fails or the signal is lost, devices with suffix L default to a low output, while devices with suffix H default to a high output.

The CA-IS376x provides high isolation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on data buses or other circuits from reaching the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. High CMTI capability ensures correct transmission of digital signals. The CA-IS376x is available in 16-pin narrow-body SOIC and 16-pin wide-body SOIC packages. All products are rated at 3.75kVrms isolation, while wide-body package variants support insulation withstand voltage up to 5kVrms.
