Introduction

CA-IS3710 is a high-performance single-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power dissipation. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, the CA-IS3710 provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions. All device versions feature Schmitt-trigger inputs for high noise immunity. The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulating barrier. If the input-side power supply fails or the signal is lost, the default output is low for devices with the suffix L, and high for devices with the suffix H.

The CA-IS3710 offers high isolation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on data buses or other circuits from reaching the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. High CMTI capability ensures correct transmission of digital signals. The CA-IS3710 is available in an 8-pin narrow-body SOIC package with an isolation rating of 3.75 kV RMS.
