Introduction

The π1xxxxx series digital isolators comprise hundreds of models. Based on iDivider® technology and proven standard semiconductor CMOS processes, these devices deliver outstanding performance characteristics and reliability, with overall performance exceeding that of optocouplers and digital isolators based on other principles. iDivider® technology leverages capacitive voltage division to achieve precise transmission of voltage signals across the isolation barrier without the need for modulation or demodulation. Each transmission channel in this series is fully independent, supporting multiple configurable transmission directions, isolation voltage ratings from 1.5 kV rms to 5.0 kV rms, signal transmission from DC to 600 Mbps, operating voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V, and signal level shifting between 3.0 V and 5.5 V. When the input supply is unpowered or no input signal is present while the output supply remains normal, the isolator output defaults to a defined logic level.
