Introduction

The CA-IS2631HA integrates signal and power isolation to simplify system design and reduce board area. This device is a high-performance, three-channel, unidirectional digital isolator with isolation ratings up to 2.5kV RMS and ultra-fast data rates. The integrated isolated DC-DC converter delivers up to 500mW of isolated power with various output voltage configurations. Each isolation channel features a logic input and output buffer separated by a capacitive silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier, with integrated Schmitt triggers on each input providing excellent noise immunity. With these advanced features, the CA-IS2631HA digital isolator offers high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions when isolating different ground domains and blocking high-voltage/high-current transients in sensitive or human-machine interface circuits. The CA-IS2631HA has 2 forward channels and 1 reverse channel. It includes an enable control pin that can be used to place the driver output in a high-impedance state in multi-master drive applications. The CA-IS2631HA also features different default outputs: when the input is unpowered or open, the default output of driver outputs VO1/VO3 is high, while the default output of driver output VO2 is low. The CA-IS2631HA operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is available in a compact LGA16 package.
