Introduction

The ISO7631F and ISO7641F provide current isolation up to 4242 VPK in compliance with VDE specifications. The ISO7631F has 3 channels, including 2 forward and 1 reverse channels, while the ISO7641F has 4 channels, including 3 forward channels and 1 reverse channel. The suffix F indicates that the output defaults to a low-level state in a fail-safe situation. Grade M devices are high-speed isolators with fast propagation delay and a data rate of up to 150Mbps, while Grade C devices can achieve a data rate of up to 25Mbps at low power consumption and have an integrated filter for noise-prone applications. It is recommended to use Grade C devices for low-speed applications where input noise pulses with a duration of less than 6ns need to be suppressed or low power consumption in the application is crucial. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier. When used with an isolated power supply, these devices can prevent noise current on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground or interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. This device has TTL input thresholds and can operate with a 2.7V (Grade M), 3.3V, or 5V power supply. When powered by a 3.3V or 2.7V power supply, all inputs can withstand 5V.
