Introduction

CA‐IS373xC is a cost-effective three-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power dissipation. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, CA‐IS373xC devices provide high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions. All device versions feature CMOS logic inputs for high noise immunity. The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) dielectric barrier. CA‐IS3730C has all three channels in the same direction, with output enable on the output side (Side B); CA‐IS3731C has two forward channels and one reverse channel, with output enable on both sides; all devices offer a failsafe mode option. If the input-side voltage or signal is lost, devices with suffix L default to a low output, while devices with suffix H default to a high output.

CA‐IS373xC devices feature high isolation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on data buses or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. High CMTI capability ensures correct transmission of digital signals. CA‐IS373xC devices are available in a 16-pin wide-body SOIC package, supporting isolation withstand voltage up to 5kV RMS.
