Introduction

CA-IS376xC is a cost-effective six-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power consumption. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, CA-IS376xC devices provide high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions. All device versions feature Schmitt trigger inputs for high noise immunity.

The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are isolated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulating barrier. The CA-IS3760C has all six channels in the same direction; the CA-IS3761C has five forward and one reverse channel; the CA-IS3762C has four forward and two reverse channels; the CA-IS3763C has three forward and three reverse channels. All devices offer a fail-safe mode option. If the input-side power supply fails or the signal is lost, devices with the suffix L default to a low output, while devices with the suffix H default to a high output.

CA-IS376xC devices feature high insulation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on data buses or other circuits from reaching the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. High CMTI capability ensures correct transmission of digital signals. CA-IS376xC devices are available in 16-pin narrow-body SOIC and 16-pin wide-body SOIC packages. The narrow-body package offers an isolation rating of 3.75kV_RMS, while the wide-body package supports a dielectric withstand voltage of up to 5kV_RMS.
