Introduction

The ISO672x-Q1 devices are high-performance dual-channel digital isolators that offer isolation ratings of 5000 VRMS (DWV package) and 3000 VRMS (D package) in accordance with UL 1577, making them well-suited for cost-sensitive applications with such requirements. These devices are also certified by VDE, TUV, CSA, and CQC. While isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os, the ISO672x-Q1 devices provide high electromagnetic immunity, low radiation, and low power consumption. The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are isolated by TI's dual-capacitor silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulating gate. The ISO6720-Q1 device features two in-phase isolation channels. The ISO6721-Q1 device has two reverse isolation channels. In the event of input power or signal loss, devices without the suffix F default to a high output level, while those with the suffix F default to a low output level. When used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices help prevent data buses such as CAN and LIN from damaging sensitive circuits. Thanks to the innovative chip design and wiring technology, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO672x-Q1 devices has been significantly enhanced, which can mitigate system-level ESD, EFT, and surge issues and comply with radiation standards. The ISO672x-Q1 series devices are available in an 8-pin SOIC wide-body (DWV) package and an 8-pin SOIC narrow-body (D) package, offering a pin-to-pin upgrade over previous generations of devices.
