Introduction

The ISO732x provides current isolation of up to 3000 VRMS for up to 1 minute, compliant with UL standards, and 4242 VPK isolation compliant with VDE standards. These devices feature two isolated channels, with their logic inputs and output buffers separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier. The two channels of the ISO7320 have the same direction, while those of the ISO7321 have opposite directions. In case of input power or signal loss, devices with the suffix "F" default to a "low" output level, while those without the "F" suffix default to a "high" output level. When used with an isolated power supply, these devices prevent noise currents on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. The ISO732x integrates a noise filter for harsh environments where short noise pulses may appear on the device's input pins. The ISO732x has transistor-transistor logic (TTL) input thresholds and operates over a supply voltage range of 3V to 5.5V. Thanks to innovative chip design and wiring techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO732x is significantly enhanced, ensuring system-level ESD, EFT, and surge protection and compliance with radiation standards.
