Introduction
The 9014 consists of four exclusive-OR gates and can be used in a wide range of code conversion, parity, and comparison applications. The exclusive-OR gates produce an output when the inputs are complementary. Two of the gates have an additional inverted output, providing a direct comparison function. The Boolean expressions for the gates are: z = A × B̄ + Ā × B; z̄ = A × B + Ā × B̄.
