Introduction

The QS3800 is a 10-bit high-speed CMOS bus switch controlled by a single enable (ON̄) input. When ON̄ is low, the switch is closed, connecting Port A to Port B. When ON̄ is high, the switch between Port A and Port B is open, and Port B is precharged to a bias voltage. The QS3800's low on-resistance (5Ω) allows inputs to connect to outputs without adding propagation delay or introducing additional noise. The QS3800 also precharges the B port to a user-selectable bias voltage to minimize hot-insertion noise, which is useful in VMEbus applications.
