Introduction

The DLPA3000 is a highly integrated power management IC optimized for DLPPico projector systems. This device is mainly designed for auxiliary lighting applications with several hundred lumens. The DLPA3000 employs an integrated high - efficiency buck converter, which can support multiple LED projectors and enable a current of up to 6A for each LED. It is equipped with a low - resistance RGB switch on the top, supporting the sequencing of red, green, and blue LEDs.

The DLPA3000 contains five buck converters, two of which are dedicated to the DLPC low - voltage power supply. Another one is dedicated to the regulated power supply, generating three timing - critical DC supplies for the DMD: VBIAS, VRST, and VOFS.

The DLPA3000 includes multiple auxiliary blocks for flexible use. Therefore, the Pico projector system can be customized. Three 8 - bit programmable buck converters (not all are fully supported yet) can be used to drive the projector FAN, etc., or provide auxiliary power lines. Two LDOs can be used to provide a low current of up to 200mA. These two LDOs are predefined at 2.5V and 3.3V.

All blocks of the DLPA3000 can be addressed via SPI. In addition, the device also features the following: generating system reset, power sequencing, input signals for sequentially selecting active LEDs, IC self - protection, and an analog MUX for transmitting analog information to an external ADC.
