Introduction

The IRS2053 integrates three channels of high-voltage, high-performance Class D audio amplifier drivers with PWM modulator and protection features. Combined with external MOSFETs and external components, a complete three-channel Class D audio amplifier can be implemented. The IRS2053 is designed for half-bridge topology with floating analog inputs and a protection control interface pin. Programmable bidirectional current sensing protects both high-side and low-side MOSFETs against overcurrent conditions. The fundamental elements of the PWM modulator section allow flexible system design. The compact MLPQ48 package enhances the size reduction advantage of Class D topology.
