Introduction

MS8413 is a digital audio circuit that receives, decodes, and performs digital-to-analog conversion, supporting IEC60958, S/PDIF, EIAJ CP1201, and AES3 interface standards. The analog section integrates an interpolation filter, multi-bit DAC, and output analog filter, with a digital de-emphasis module, operable at 3.3V and 5V.

MS8413 is a monolithic CMOS chip that receives and decodes audio and performs analog conversion in compliance with AES3, IEC60953, S/PDIF, and EIAJ CP1201 interface standards. Standard audio sampling frequencies include 48, 44.1, and 32kHz in SSM mode; 96, 88.2, and 64kHz in DSM mode; and 192, 176.4, and 128kHz in QSM mode.

MS8413 uses a 4:1 multiplexer to select one input, decode it, and output through a single output pin. Input data can be differential or single-ended signals.

MS8413 features dedicated pins for selecting audio input decoding and transmission to a dedicated TX pin, while also allowing access to channel status and user data output pins.
