Introduction

This TTS chip receives text data to be synthesized via UART interface, enabling text-to-speech (TTS) conversion. Compact SMT package, simple hardware interface, low power consumption, clear and mellow voice quality, and exceptional price-to-performance ratio. In addition, the chip demonstrates smarter and more accurate recognition of text, numbers, and strings, with a significant improvement in speech synthesis naturalness. The quality and intelligence of speech synthesis have achieved a qualitative leap, making it a truly high-end TTS chip designed for industrial applications.

Text Synthesis: Clear, natural, and accurate Chinese TTS output. Supports synthesis of arbitrary Chinese text with four encoding formats: GB2312, GBK, Unicode, and UTF8. Supports English letter synthesis, pronouncing English words letter by letter.

Intelligent Text Analysis: The chip features intelligent text analysis and processing, capable of correctly recognizing and handling common formats such as numerical values, phone numbers, dates and times, and units of measurement based on built-in text matching rules. For polyphone characters, the chip automatically analyzes the text to determine the correct pronunciation. Characters used as surnames with unconventional pronunciations are also handled automatically.

Volume, Speech Rate, and Pitch Adjustment: Supports 10-level digital volume control with wider and louder output range. Offers 30-level speech rate and 10-level pitch adjustment to meet diverse application requirements.

Alert Tones: Multiple built-in alert tones for notifications, alarms, and other functions across various industries and scenarios.

Multiple Speakers: Provides 8 Chinese voice options — 2 male, 2 female, 1 effects voice, 1 girl, and 2 boy voices. Speakers can be switched using the special tag [m?.

Text Control Tags: Supports multiple text control tags. Speech rate, pitch, and volume can be adjusted by sending synthesis commands with control tags. Control tags can also improve text processing accuracy, including: prosody settings, numeral reading mode, surname pronunciation strategy, and pronunciation of "1" in number strings.

Chip Status Query: Supports multiple methods for querying chip operating status, including: status pin level query, automatic status feedback from the chip, and status query commands to retrieve chip working state.

Communication Mode: Supports UART communication.

Low Power Mode: Supports Deep Sleep mode, which can be activated via control commands.

4 Supported Baud Rates: 9600 bps, 57600 bps, 115200 bps, and 460800 bps.
