Introduction

This module is an advanced Motion SPM 5 module that provides a fully-featured, high-performance inverter output stage for AC induction, brushless DC, and permanent magnet synchronous motors (such as those used in refrigerators, fans, and water pumps). These modules integrate optimized gate drives with built-in MOSFETs (using SuperFET technology) to minimize EMI and losses, while also providing multiple on-module protection features, including undervoltage lockout and thermal monitoring. The built-in high-speed, high-voltage ICs require only a single supply voltage and convert input logic-level gate signals into the high-voltage, high-current drive signals required to drive the internal MOSFETs within the module. Independent open-drain MOSFET terminals are provided for each phase to support the widest range of control algorithms.
