Introduction

AOZ5166QI is a high-efficiency synchronous buck power stage module consisting of two asymmetric MOSFETs and an integrated driver. The MOSFETs are individually optimized for synchronous buck configuration. The high-side (HS) MOSFET features low capacitance and low gate charge for fast switching at low duty cycle operation. The low-side (LS) MOSFET has ultra-low RDS(ON) to minimize conduction losses. The AOZ5166QI is designed for precise control of power MOSFET switching activity through PWM and DISB# inputs, compatible with 5V (CMOS) and tri-state inputs. The module also incorporates multiple features that make it a highly versatile power module. The bootstrap supply diode is integrated in the driver, and the LS MOSFET can enter diode emulation mode when needed to provide asynchronous operation. The pin layout is optimized to minimize parasitic effects.
