The popular 1N5283UR-1 through 1N5314UR-1 series 0.5-watt current regulators offer standard 10% tolerance selections ranging from 0.22mA to 4.7mA. These devices regulate current over a wide voltage range, serving as the counterpart to Zener diodes (which regulate voltage over a wide current range). The DO-213AB package employs dual-plug internal bond connections and large die components to achieve its unique function as a current limiter.
