Introduction

This series of 0.5-watt current regulator diodes offers standard 10% tolerance selections ranging from 0.22mA to 4.7mA. These devices regulate current over a wide voltage range, functioning similarly to Zener diodes that regulate voltage over a wide current range, and are available in axial-lead packages of comparable size. The slightly larger DO-7 package option uses a double-plug internal bond connection and a larger active die element to achieve its unique function as a current limiter.
