Introduction
The varistor consists of a disc of low-β ceramic material and two solid copper leads (US20 type only) or copper-clad steel wire leads. The lead surfaces have a matte tin plating. They are coated with a silicone lacquer conforming to UL 94 V-0, providing electrical, mechanical, and climatic protection.
