Introduction

The UltraMOV Metal Oxide Varistor series is designed for applications requiring high peak surge current ratings and high energy absorption capability. These devices are primarily intended for AC line voltage applications such as surge protective devices, uninterruptible power supplies, AC power taps, AC power meters, or other products requiring voltage clamping against high transient surge currents from sources such as lightning, inductive load switching, or capacitor bank switching. The series is available in 7mm, 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm radial lead package sizes with multiple lead configurations. UltraMOV varistors feature an industry-accepted epoxy package rated for ambient temperatures up to 85℃ with no derating required. The series uses laser marking and is available in bulk or tape-and-reel packaging.
