Introduction

The UltraMOV 25S varistor series is specifically designed for applications that require high peak surge current ratings and high energy absorption capabilities. UltraMOV 25S varistors are mainly used in AC line voltage applications, such as surge protection devices (SPD), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), AC power outlets, AC meters, or other products that need voltage clamping for high transient surge currents from sources like lightning strikes, inductive load switching, or capacitor bank switching. UltraMOV 25S features a compact square disc body and is equipped with radial leads. UltraMOV 25S varistors are manufactured with approved epoxy encapsulation and can operate at an ambient temperature of up to 85°C without derating. The UltraMOV 25S series is laser-marked and supplied in bulk.

• Maximum continuous operating voltage (MCOV): 115Vac - 750Vac
• 125°C operating temperature-phenolic coating option
• 10kA Nominal Discharge Current (In) as required by UL 1449
• 20kV/10kA (1.2/50 μs, 8/20 μs) combination pulse as required by Annex G of IEC 62368-1
