Introduction

The UltraMOV 25S varistor series is designed for applications requiring high surge peak current ratings and high energy absorption capability. UltraMOV® 25S varistors are primarily intended for AC line voltage applications such as surge protective devices (SPDs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), AC power outlets, AC power meters, or other products requiring voltage clamping against high transient surge currents from sources such as lightning, inductive load switching, or capacitor bank switching. The UltraMOV® 25S features a compact square disc with radial leads. UltraMOV® 25S varistors are manufactured in a recognized epoxy package, rated for ambient temperatures up to 85°C with no derating required. The UltraMOV® 25S series uses laser marking and is available in bulk packaging.
