Introduction

TransGuard multilayer varistors are ZnO-based ceramic semiconductor devices with nonlinear voltage-current characteristics (bidirectional) similar to back-to-back Zener diodes. They also offer greater current and energy handling capability along with EMI/RFI attenuation. As electronic technology becomes increasingly widespread across various fields, reliable protection against transient voltage damage to electronic circuits is essential, as is EMI/RFI attenuation to prevent signal distortion and meet regulatory requirements.
