Introduction
Alloy-type thermal cutoffs are one-shot, non-resettable devices widely used for over-temperature protection in electrical equipment. They primarily consist of a low-melting-point fusible alloy, a flux agent, a housing, sealing resin, and lead wires. Under normal operating conditions, the fusible alloy maintains electrical continuity between the two lead wires. When the alloy-type thermal cutoff senses abnormal heat and reaches the predetermined fusing temperature, the fusible alloy melts and rapidly retracts to both ends of the lead wires under the action of the flux agent, thereby opening the circuit. Alloy-type thermal cutoffs are available in axial and radial configurations, with rated operating temperatures of (76~230) °C, rated currents of (1~200) A, and safety certifications including CCC, UL, cUL, VDE, TUV, KC, and PSE, while complying with RoHS, REACH, and other environmental requirements.
