Introduction

A polymer positive temperature coefficient device is a resettable overcurrent protection component whose resistance increases sharply at a specific temperature. Under normal operating conditions, the device exhibits low resistance; when a fault current causes the device temperature to rise to the switching temperature, its resistance increases significantly to limit the current. Once the fault is cleared and power is removed, the device cools down and resets to its low-resistance state. This device features a surface mount package with characteristics including low resistance, fast response time, self-recovery, and compliance with RoHS and AEC-Q200 standards, making it suitable for various electronic equipment requiring reliable overcurrent protection.
