Introduction

The Littelfuse broadband-optimized SL0902A series delivers high surge ratings in a compact package. Its special design characteristics provide a high level of protection against fast-rising transients with rise rates ranging from 100V/μs to 1kV/μs, typically caused by lightning disturbances. Low insertion loss makes it ideal for broadband equipment applications. Its capacitance does not vary with voltage, preventing operational issues in ADSL2+ applications where capacitance variation between Tip and Ring is undesirable. These devices are extremely robust, capable of diverting 2500A pulses without damage. For prolonged AC power cross conditions, overcurrent protection is recommended. The Littelfuse CG5 MS miniature surge protector is designed to protect electrical and telecommunications equipment in SMT assembly applications from overvoltage transients. This series uses non-radioactive components to provide state-of-the-art protection.
