Introduction

Many Japanese automakers use the 295 series auto-link PAL fuses as original equipment. These bolt-down fuses are commonly used to protect alternators and starters. In testing, with current applied for 5 minutes then switched off for 10 minutes, each of the 295 series PAL fuses met its performance requirements when subjected to 50% of its rated current for 10,000 cycles. Testing was conducted at a bolt-down tubular fuse temperature of 24℃.
