Introduction

The TEPK series is a surface-mount chip-type device that provides overcurrent and overcharge protection. It incorporates a fuse element that ensures stable operation under normal current conditions and interrupts the current in the event of overcurrent. It also contains a resistive heating element that can be used in conjunction with voltage detection means (such as ICs and FETs). When an overvoltage is detected, the heating element is electrically energized to generate heat, which blows the fuse element, thereby achieving overvoltage protection.
