Introduction

The Bussmann series HEZ submersible single-pole DIP rejection fuse holders are designed for UL Class CC fuses. They are available in non-breakaway and breakaway versions, with multiple terminal options to meet application requirements. The breakaway version comes with insulating boots to achieve UL IP67 submersible rating. The non-breakaway version requires separately ordered insulating boots to achieve submersible performance. Recommended Fuses: Ratings: Voltage: 600V Current: Limited by conductor size, 30A maximum Withstand Current: 200kA RMS symmetrical Certifications: UL Listed, Guide No. IZLT, File No. E14853 CSA Certified, Class 6225-01, File No. 47235 CE and RoHS compliant Insulating Boots: The breakaway fuse holder configuration comes standard with two insulating boots. The non-breakaway fuse holder standard configuration does not include insulating boots. If required, two insulating boots must be ordered separately for each non-breakaway fuse holder ordered. When insulating boots are used, fuse sizing must be selected per DMAC standards due to additional heat retention. Installation Instructions: Strip wire insulation to a length equal to the depth of the crimp or screw terminal. Tighten screw terminals to 35 lb-in (3.9 N·m), or crimp the crimp terminals twice using appropriate crimping tools and dies, with crimp points located at one-third from each end (as shown below). Recommended crimping tools are shown on page 3.
