Introduction

• 6.3mm (1/4 inch) diameter tubular fuse clips:
  • Material: Brass (65% copper/35% zinc), 0.020 inch thickness, full hard temper.
  • Plating: Bright tin plating available for all fuse clip types. Bright tin: minimum 200 microinches over nickel barrier.
  • Solderability: Per Mil-Std-202F, Method 208.
  • Torque: Minimum torque to twist a fuse in a single clip: 1.0 inch-ounce.
  • Extraction Force: Minimum force to extract a fuse from a single clip: 2 lbs.
  • Marking: "bel" stamped on one side.
  • Ampere Rating: FC101, 102 rated up to 15A.
  • Note: Suitability at higher currents depends on fuse type, circuit conditions, and PCB design (trace width/thickness, method of soldering clip leads, etc.). Each combination of clip, fuse, PCB, and operating conditions must be evaluated.
• 5mm diameter tubular fuse clips:

  • Plating: Matte tin or bright tin plating available for all fuse clip types. Bright tin: minimum 200 microinches over nickel barrier; Matte tin: minimum 400 microinches over nickel barrier.
  • Solderability: Per Mil-Std-202F, Method 208.
  • Torque: Minimum torque to twist a fuse in a single clip: 1.0 inch-ounce.
  • Extraction Force: Minimum force to extract a fuse from a single clip: 2 lbs.
  • Marking: "bel" stamped on one side.
  • Ampere Rating: FC201, -202, -211 rated up to 10A.
  • Note: Suitability at higher currents depends on fuse type, circuit conditions, and PCB design (trace width/thickness, method of soldering clip leads, etc.). Each combination of clip, fuse, PCB, and operating conditions must be evaluated. FC-211 is a PCB locking type for 5mm fuses on 0.062 inch thick PCBs. The clip leads feature tabs that "lock" to the bottom side of the PCB to prevent clip floating during reflow soldering, eliminating the need for a "staking" operation on the bottom side of the PCB.
