Introduction

Fuse bases are used to secure fuses and ensure reliable electrical connections, available in single-pole or three-pole designs. The three-pole fuse base comes with two separators, which must be installed between the poles. End plates and terminal covers are recommended for improved safety. End plates enhance safety and provide isolation between devices. Install by inserting them into the mounting entry slots on both sides of the fuse base; it is recommended to install one end plate on each side. Terminal covers improve safety by covering the live metal parts of the fuse base and fuse. Recommended for use with end plates. Install by sliding the terminal cover through the terminal slot and snapping it into place. Microswitch can be field-installed on NH fuses for remote indication of fuse blown status. Use of a fuse handle is strongly recommended when inserting or removing fuses from the fuse base to prevent electric shock. For enhanced safety, a fuse handle with an integrated safety glove is available. Both fuse handle types are compatible with NH knife-blade fuses, in sizes from NH00 to NH4. A UL-listed version is available upon request, rated at 700VAC, with aR breaking category options also available.
