Introduction

These fuses prevent unnecessary open circuits caused by inrush currents or surges. The fuse link operates only under very high overloads or short circuits. The thermal cutoff function handles low overloads — the thermal cutoff cannot operate quickly under any load, thus providing a long time delay during short periods of high overload. This long time delay also eliminates the need for additional oversized or overrated fuses.

10–60 ampere fuses use brass terminals and ferrules. 70–400 ampere fuses use copper terminals and ferrules.
