Introduction

The OPB610 and OPB620 slotted optical switches consist of an infrared LED and an NPN silicon phototransistor with enhanced low-current roll-off characteristics for improved contrast and background radiation rejection. The OPB621 slotted optical switch consists of an infrared LED and a PIN photodiode housed in a polysulfone enclosure that is opaque to visible light but transparent to infrared. The low tr/tf characteristics of the PIN photodiode make it ideal for high-speed operation with minimal sensitivity to ambient radiation. Custom electrical, wire, cable, and connector configurations are available.
