Introduction

The OPB100Z series includes an infrared LED (OPB100-EZ) and a phototransistor (OPB100-SZ), each housed in separate plastic enclosures. The low-cost snap-in design requires no screws or other mounting hardware, making installation simple. The emitter and sensor have no apertures, allowing separation distances exceeding 36 inches (91.4 cm) without concern for precise alignment. Front-side clips mount the product to any material 0.059 inches (1.50 mm) thick. The product is designed for general-purpose switching and low-speed data communication applications.
