Introduction

NSL-06S53 is a photoresistive cell with sensitivity in the visible light spectrum. It is a Type 5 cadmium sulfide (CDS) photoresistive cell in a flat lens TO-18 package. Advanced Photonix cadmium sulfide photoresistive cells are light-dependent resistors designed for visible light measurement, intended to sense light from 400 to 700nm. Resistance decreases with increasing illumination, with spectral response characteristics similar to the human eye. These LDRs are available in a variety of resistance values, in either dual-lead plastic-coated ceramic packages or hermetically sealed TO metal can packages.
